Huka welcomes Thomas Mittendorff (45) as its new Director of Sales and Marketing! With a wealth of experience in the two-wheeler industry and a passion for developing growth strategies, Thomas is looking forward to contributing to Huka’s further growth together with his colleagues. “The beautiful products that make a positive social contribution immediately appealed to me, but also the down-to-earth Twente corporate culture and humour combined with international ambitions made choosing Huka a logical step.”

What appealed to you most about Huka and why did you choose Huka?

“First of all, the beautiful products, which make a very positive social contribution. But what certainly weighs as heavily for me are the people, the down-to-earth Twente company culture and humour i.c.w. the international playing field and growth ambitions.”

What experience do you bring and how do you think it contributes to Huka’s growth?

“International work experience in (among others) the two-wheeler industry has given me a network of partners and suppliers, as well as learning how to structure a commercial organisation and develop and implement realistic growth strategies. For me, teamwork, clear communication, creativity and courage are key to joint success and taking steps forward.”

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

“I am looking forward to working with my colleagues to maintain and further expand the current partner network, by thoroughly understanding what is going on with our customers. Furthermore, my passion is to look for new commercial opportunities and possibilities, in the broadest sense of the word.”

What do you like most about working in sales and marketing?

“What appeals to me is that in sales and marketing, you are constantly thinking of creative ways to reach (potential) customers. You see concrete results from your work, build relationships with different people and create added value, which is satisfying. Moreover, it is a dynamic field where you are always learning and dealing with new trends and developments.”

When you are not busy with work, how do you like to spend your free time?

“I love nature and the outdoors, love being in the mountains and love watching sports (season-ticket holder at FC Twente) and enjoying sports myself. But I also like going to concerts or performances and during holidays I prefer to be on adventures with my family or friends to explore the world further!”
