I wouldn’t miss the City for anything!

Early this year, we visited Karien (42) who lives in Enter (Holland) at an assisted living accommodation with 9 people. “Every day I cycle to work on my City. I wouldn’t miss this tricycle for anything,’ says Karien.

Assisted living accommodation

As an Enterse, she is a real family person and has lived in assisted living accommodation for almost 20 years. Karien says: ‘I can do a lot of things myself. Only when things get difficult do I ask for help. In the morning, I send an app at half past six that I’m awake and then they know at the supervision that I’m getting myself ready for the day. I also like to help the accompaniment with cooking. Together with the supervision, I regularly cook all kinds of meals for the whole group: from oven dishes, cold pasta salad to rice dishes. I really enjoy doing that. I often look at different recipes and then get the groceries on my tricycle.

Riding around the village

‘I enjoy riding my tricycle.’ Tells Karien. Her father Harry says: ‘That’s right. It really is a godsend! As parents, we really wanted her to be able to get around on her own. That she started doing things herself instead of being brought by car. On a two-wheel bike, unfortunately, that was not possible.’

‘Besides my work at Ipex, I sometimes cycle to the manage or go to my parents by bike. The other day I picked up my parents to give them a treat. After all, it was Father’s Day. We cycled to Rijssen and had a nice dinner on the terrace at Brasserie de Passage. I also have a lot of family in Enter that I can cycle to. But I would also really like to cycle near the Hoge Veluwe again. That was SO beautiful last time.’

Immediately good and familiar

Previously, Karien had the Huka Country. Karien says: ‘At some point, I needed a new bike and then we went to Huka in Oldenzaal to look at a new tricycle. The Huka City caught my eye. When I saw this bike for the first time, I immediately fell in love. After making a test ride, we ended up buying this bike. We then bought the bike via Bike Totaal Leenders in Hengelo. When the bike was delivered to our home, it immediately felt good and familiar. I cycled away on it in no time and the seat is nice and upright. The lights come on automatically as soon as it gets dark. I wouldn’t miss the City for anything.’
